Cutler & Associates, Inc., 5717 Two Notch Road: 2014 no comments
I did a previous closing for this building when it was Lexus Of Columbia.
Insurance brokers Cutler & Associates were the follow-up business in this location. Sadly, it appears that Mr. Cutler has passed on after what sounds like a full and fruitful life.
UPDATE 10 May 2016 -- This building is now Pool Tables Plus:
Jiffy Lube, 7452 Two Notch Road: November 2014 5 comments
Well, you've seen the signs, now you can get $10.00 off.
I went to this Jiffylube near the I-20 interchange on Two Notch several times. While sitting in the heat and watching traffic up and down Two Notch is no garden vista, the deck was nice as it got you out of the waiting room and away from the TV.
The siting of this store was interesting as it was directly next to a Precision Tune, just as the Knox Abbott location is almost directly across the street from one.

Wendy's, 10002 Two Notch Road: November 2014 10 comments
One of the very first closings I did was for Wendy's on Two Notch in Dentsville.
Now the other Two Notch Wendy's, out past Spring Valley by the Brickyard Shopping Center site has closed as well.
The place seems reasonably easy to get in and out of, there's even stoplight access, but I note that the adjacent former Quizno's has never been replaced by anything so perhaps I'm missing something about the spot.
I wonder if Nick's needs another location?

UPDATE 17 May 2016 -- As mentioned in the comments, this building is about to open as a Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen:
UPDATE 7 June 2016 -- Popeye's is now open:
Computer Repair & Sales, 7362 Two Notch Road: Fall 2014 no comments
Here's another vacant storefront in Tillman's Plaza on Two Notch. I happened to glace across the street as I was at Kinko's, printing some documents and noticed it was gone.

Bundrick's Kar Kare / Pope Davis Tire & Alignment, 2368 Taylor Street: Summer 2014 9 comments
Commenter Matt points out that the Pope Davis on the corner of Taylor and Millwood has closed.
This was one of those open-air auto operations that you don't see much anymore -- certainly no more in this style are being built. (And some, like this have been knocked down.)
You can stll see the Bundrick's label scar on the awning. The building is still apparently owned by Pope Davis as it has not been emptied, and as yet there is no For Sale sign.

All Good Hydroponics & Gardening, 6729 Two Notch Road: 2013 3 comments
I noticed on my latest trip to Very's that the hydroponic gardening store in the same Two Notch plaza, All Good Hydroponics was gone and a thrift store was in its spot. The phonebook suggests that this happened sometime last year as they don't list in the 2014 edition.
For me, the term hydroponics has always reeked of science fiction as it was a common element in many books about life on space ships and space stations. Usually it was described as a thankless task that got assigned to hapless crew memebers as KP was assigned in books about army life. Visually, I would always think about those trays the Robinsons would grow food in on Lost In Space during those long planet-bound blocks of episodes where the budget didn't allow any actual spaceflight effects...
Sammi's Deli, 9003 Two Notch Road: 14 October 2013 (temporary?) no comments
I noticed when I was taking pictures of Cycle Center that this adjacent Sammi's Deli had also closed, presumably due to the same fire.
It appears to me that some work has gone on, or is going on to rehabilitate the space. There are no signs indicating one way or the other, but perhaps this place will be back eventually.
Hursey's Trading Post & Loan / Advance On Checks Inc., 2920 Two Notch Road: Fall 2014 9 comments
Checking my phonebooks, I see that Advance On Checks goes back at least to 2005, which really surprised me as I had not noticed in all that time that Hursey's Trading Post was gone. I never stopped in there, but I remember the signs that cheerfully promised loans on any item "except guns".
The real estate listing says this little building at the southwest corner of Two Notch & Beltline dates back to 1960, and looking at it, I can believe that. I also believe it must have been some sort of restaurnat at one time, but I have absolutely no memory of what it might have been.

Cycle Center, 9003 Two Notch Road: 14 October 2013 (temporary) 2 comments
Commenter Patrica Lewis points out that Cycle Center in Spring Valley Commons is closed.
The sign explains that the location was rendered infeasible by the fire last October (2013) which did a lot of direct damage to the East wing of the plaza and indirect damage here.
Rebuilding is continuing on the east wing and Tripp's Cleaners and the storage facility have reopened.
