Columbia Closings   What's not in Columbia anymore

I've featured this little walk-up restaurant on Two Notch at Covenant under, I believe, four different names in two different posts.

Apparently the last incarnation was The Picnic Table.

Judging from the new lettering on the marquee, it was apparently trying to become an ABC store, but ran, at least for now, into a zoning snag of some sort.

I've written about this little walkup in the Lil' Cricket outparcel at the corner of Two Notch & Covenant before here.

Since then, it has gone through two more incarnations, one as Wright's Eatery (first two pix) and most recently as K-Wayzz Corner Grill (last two pix). I don't really have an opinion about K-Wayzz, but I enjoy the use of Eatery for Wright's. It brings to mind old Fleischer Popeye cartoons, and the whole diner era.

This little building at the Southeast corner of Two Notch & Covenant Roads is apparently an outbuilding on the L'il Cricket lot, or at least there doesn't seem to be a separate tax record for it. This Administrative Law Court decision (for Li'l Cricket's beer & wine permit) suggests that it was initially a smoke shop, but google says that more recently, it has been Willie's and Biddy's Corner Grill.

I was going to go back some later when I had time to stop and get closeups of the signs in the window and get a longer shot showing where it is in relation to the convenience store, but somehow I never did. At any rate, it is a tiny space, and looking at the windows, seems to have been mainly a walk-up operation.
