Barn, 821 Saint Peters Road (Lexington): 1980s(?) 1 comment
I found these pictures of an old barn weathering away across the street from the former Bi-Lo at Lake Murray Shopping Center that I took while I was doing that closing. I don't have any knowledge of exactly what it was, but I do like old barns. While this one is still partially surrounded by fields on two sides, it is amazing how much this corner (with US-378) has built up in the last few years according to old Google streetview images.
The date is a total guess, and doesn't even have much meaning -- even after a barn/shed stops being weather-proof it's still a place to stash stuff.
Northwood Baptist Church, 5236 Sunset Boulevard: 2021 (Moved) no comments
I had held off posting anything about this church move on Sunset Boulevard because I was never sure if they had already moved, or were continuing to hold services in this building until they were able to sell it. Last month a sign for a new church moving in went up, so I think it is safe to say they have completed their move. Google suggests they now meet at 218 Blackjack Oak Lane.
At any rate, it is a nice large property, one that could hold a couple more buildings, and one where kids could play some nice games of Capture The Flag. I am glad to see that, so far as I can tel, it is not to be broken up for retail.
Trident Pain Center, 4711 Sunset Bouleveard: Fall 2021 (Moved) no comments
I thought I would be able to read the "move" date from the door sign, but in the event my picture came out to be more of my hands and the camera than the actual sign. At any rate, Trident Pain Center has moved from this office park on Sunset down the hill from I-20 to 176 McSwain Drive.
Which leaves only the question: What have they got against Robert Carter?
The Casual Pint, 217 Saluda Springs Road: May 2021 4 comments
I was not really aware of The Casual Pint, off of 378 in Lexington, behind The Mellow Mushroom, but commenter Andy reports it was a "fun spot", with "excellent beer selection".
They made it through the pandemic, but as far as I can tell from the google reviews, closed in early May of 2021.

Frank's Discount Tire, 910 East Main Street: Spring 2018 no comments
According to commenter JamesR, all the Frank's locations were acquired by Tire Engineers but before they could fully convert to that branding, Tire Engineers was bought by Mavis. There is a bit more information here.

Goodfellas Grill & Bar, 760 US-378: Spring 2020 (Moved) no comments
When I went out to get pictures of the new PK BBQ location, and of the old Bi-Lo, I drove by Goodfellas on the way. I did not realize at the time that they had just recently moved to 630 Hwy 378 and had previously been in the current PK BBQ storefront. Judging by google reviews, the move took place some time around May of 2020 and when I went back to get these pictures, it appeared they are doing quite a good business in the new location.

Bi-Lo, 760 US-378: Mid January 2020 3 comments
Well, this may be the final Bi-Lo closing, unless I go farther afield. This store on US-378 started out as a Piggly Wiggly more than twenty years ago, and now with the sale of Bi-Lo has come full circle. It's nice to see a new Pig open, as that chain has been having its own problems. It seems that the crew who wanted to stay on were able to, which is nice. ColaDaily has the story.

PK BBQ, 5423-B Augusta Road: 5 February 2021 (Moved) 4 comments
I noticed this evening that PK BBQ, the follow-on in this convenience store endcap to Kotas was gone.
A little google-work reveals that they have moved to the new Piggly Wiggly complex at 760 Highway 378. I have been meaning to get out there, as I believe that is another former Bi-Lo that I haven't yet done a closing for.
UPDATE 22 February 2021 -- Here is the new location:
Nooch & Lalo Mix Mex Food & Drink, 109 Old Chapin Road: Early 2020 1 comment
As noted by commenter Heath, Nooch & Lalo Mix Mex Food & Drink in the Flight Deck complex in Lexington has closed. ColaDaily has the story and says:
The announcement via social media names "devastating family issues" as a factor as to why the closure was the best decision. Co-owners and partners Jose "Lalo" Parra and Nicholas "Nooch" Kole will be moving to Mexico to start a new chapter, according to the announcement[.]
This place was the follow-on operation to Arkos and opened in November 2019, closed earlier in 2020 and announced the permanent closing in mid-November 2020.

Urban Nirvana, 920 North Lake Drive : Summer 2020 1 comment
As reported by commenter JohnR, this Urban Nirvana in the Lexington Towne Centre plaza on North Lake Drive between the closing Stein Mart and Food Lion is gone.
Looking at the Yelp reviews, it was open as late as June 2020, so they actually came through the lockdown period. Perhaps the customer volume just wasn't there in these trying times.
I think the plaza name is overdoing it a bit: Misspelling *two* words for "class"?
