Calendars: None Left   no comments

Posted at 8:23 pm in Uncategorized

That's right! None of the 2011 Columbia Closings or Pawleys Island calendars left the printing facility last week.

You can fix that simply by clicking and forking over a nominal fee to enjoy 12 months of bygone Columbia and/or South Carolina's island paradise!

Remember calendars make great Christmas presents, and there are only 19 shopping days left..

And hey, there's still four weeks of 2010 left. If you can't let that go, then the 2010 Columbia Closings and 2010 Pawleys Island calendars are still available!

(Yes, the "None Left" joke is old Mad Magazine shtick. I think I stole it last year too..)

Commenter Duanne sends the link to this Flickr set.

It's mainly downtown area pictures from the 1970s, mostly black and white, but some great color pictures of the old 5 Points Jackson Cameras

That's it for me and the Richland Mall Kroger   10 comments

Grr!

If I had noticed there were no checkers when I walked in, I would have walked right out again. It's not my job to spend 20 minutes scanning and bagging -- it's your job to spend 5 minutes doing it.

Be Beep & The Happy Cafe, 4525 Forest Drive: (not closed)   no comments

Posted at 1:54 am in Uncategorized

Not really a closing, but I was at Bruegger's Sunday, and happened to notice that the building housing Be Beep and The Happy Cafe is being re-roofed.

The Be Beep area was roped off, but they aren't open on Sunday anyway so I doubt they'll have any downtime.

It's Calendar Time!   no comments

Posted at 9:56 pm in Uncategorized

Well folks, it looks like 2010 is on the homestretch now. The Fair is over and Thanksgiving is looming. All that means, of course, that it's time for the 2011 Columbia Closings wall calendar!

That's right, for a single moderate expenditure, you can have 12 months of Columbia Closings images with a special 13th cover image thrown in at no extra charge! Such a deal!

I have looked at a copy of this year's calendar, and am quite happy with how it came out, and I think you will be as well!

And if you don't want to let 2010 go, the 2010 Columbia Closings wall calendar is still available at the same link for a limited time.

But why stop at calendars? The Columbia Closings store is always available for all your holiday shopping needs..
