I have to admit I was never into Gamecock paraphernalia, even when I was at USC and my father taught there. That said, it seems to be a pretty big business (along with similar for Clemson) and Addam's has been in this spot for a good number of years. This summer however, they are moving into the Vista at 740 Gervias Street which I guess would be in the same building Sylvan's moved to.

Textbooks are moving more and more online, or being substitued with open access resources. There is a small book store in the bottom of the Byrnes building but it is just a pickup place for when you order your books online.

Addam's has been at this site since about 2005 or 2006. Before that, they were at the corner of Main and Blossom, where the Adesso condominiums are now. They were formerly Addam's Bookstore, but at some point after they moved to this site, they stopped selling books.
