Oh for the halcyon days when I could nonchalantly mount the trampolines at King's Funland at the beach! Nowdays just thinking about trampolines makes my bones hurt...
Flight Adventure Park at Sandhill was trampolines and more -- You can see a shot of the floor at The Post & Courier. What impressed itself on me immediately was the size of the parking lot, and the fact that they apparently bussed kids in.
The timing of this closure seems rather odd: It's summer, and all the kids are out of school. You would think this would be the busiest season, and the time to catch up if business had been lagging. It's certainly a turn of events that can't help the beleaguered shopping complex.
We'll have to see what develops here -- It's a huge building so it's hard to imagine what could go in there, though something has before: I can see a label scar from its previous existence, but I can't quite bring to mind what it was.

This was previously Plex indoor sports back in the day. At one point hey had a cool skate park, with a bowl and everything. I can see plenty of kids breaking their arms and what not there. Eventually they took the skatepark out and transitioned to trampolines. They had an ice hockey ring, soccer field, and snack bar as well.

When it was Plex it also carried bounce houses for smaller kids. Had my daughter's birthday party there a couple of times. I never went to it as "Flight". Honestly, would love to see this place turn into a bowling alley or indoor miniature golf. Keep it activity based.

There's still a Flight in Irmo that has trampolines and an ice skating rink. That location is consistently busy.
What was the name of this place before it was Flight? Ugh. I actually got to spend a little time there when it was whatever it was before Flight.
I'd imagine while the overhead is low, rent and liability insurance are probably stratospheric.
