Carolina Coliseum Northside Parking Lot, 701 Assembly Street: 2012 4 comments
Commenter Midnight Rambler sent these photos (some time ago) from 18 November 2011 saying:
For those who camped out for concert tickets, these pictures bring back
memories. I took them in Nov. 2011 knowing the new business building would be going there.
This parking lot faced the North side of the Coliseum, fronting on Greene Street and was built over by the new Darla Moore School Of Business around 2012.

I spent many a night on that concrete waiting to get tickets. Those were some of the best nights and lifelong friendships were made. I'd take that system back over the current methods of purchasing tickets any day.

I graduated from USC in August 2012 and remember it being under construction when I went there around that timeframe...it bothered me that they took out a parking lot for it since parking is an issue at USC (and that is one of the things I'm glad I don't have to deal with since I've graduated).

I work at USC and I believe The DMBS opened in 2014. I still refer to the Close-Hipp Building as the old Business School. My 83 year old mother still calls the Calcott Building the old Business School. I think it now hosts the geography department :)

You can clearly see in the photo the main ticket booth for not only sports but conv]certs. I remember camping our many times along the concourse trying to get a ticket for something.
Also in 1970 they put a large version of the three diamond logo for the SC Tricentennial that year.
