This space on River Drive has been a number of things since I started keeping track, moving from automative related businesses to restaurants. Lambs Bread was the follow-on here to Vibes, which closed in late 2018. As far as I can tell, Lambs Bread was open into late summer of 2020, and got generally good reviews. There was no real-estate sign on the property when I stopped by, so I'm not sure what is next for this property.

  1. You should have snapped a shot of Edna's while you were there. I'll bet it's in bad shape after five years, if it's still there. Haven't been through there in quite a while!!

  2. What I've noticed about Edna's when I've been by recently is that the doors and windows have some type of plastic plexiglass on them...I have a feeling that it's only a matter of time before it has a date with the excavator.

  3. Edna's is indeed in bad shape. That plexiglass that Andrew mentions has been on it since shortly after closing. I always thought that was weird since plywood is the norm.

  4. The owner of this restaurant moved from North Main over to River Drive a few years ago. His original restaurant is now called A Peace of Soul, and is run by his daughter. I've eaten there quite a few times, and it's amazing what they can do with an entirely plant-based ingredient list. Highly recommend, even if you aren't vegetarian/vegan.

  5. I've always heard good things about Lamb's Bread. But I am always adverse to try it because the signage and location and general external appearance always look sketchy as heck.

Funny thing is that I will buy sushi without a moment's thought from someplace that looks equally sketchy.
