Cromer's, 1700 Huger Street: 15 February 2018 (Moved) 4 comments
Well, it's official, Cromer's has made the move from Huger to North Main. I was in this, Huger Street, location once several years ago to purchase a helium baloon kit, and it seemed fairly nice to me -- certainly better than the Bluff Road location I was at for the same reason several years before.
I tried to get some pictures of the new location, but the ongoing road construction on North Main had a steam shovel completely blocking the entrance to the new building -- the tenants can't have been too happy about that. For that reason, I can't confirm that there are no monkeys. You'll have to check yourself.

Yes, they went to the location off Bluff after the fire.

I went by the new location on Main St on a Saturday and was completely underwhelmed

Fine Consigns, the follow-up operation to Cromer's, has gone out of business. I noticed the building was empty this past week. According to their Facebook page, it appears they closed January 19. I stopped in once not long after they opened. It seemed like a nice business. I found some wall decor that I really liked, but didn't have the wall space for them. I never found the time to stop back by. I think they may have been opened right about a year.

Glad to see North Main getting some new life.
Was the Bluff Road location where Cromer’s went after they had the fire on Assembly Street or was that another location?
