Nathan's Famous, 1311 Dutch Fork Road: 2017 7 comments
I've still never had a Nathan's dog though it's on my list somewhere. This one was co-located with the Pitt Stop in Ballentine. Looking in the new phonebook, I don't see any other locations listed though I am pretty sure there is still one slightly out of the area at an I-26 interchange heading for Charleston.

What ever happened to the Arthur Treacher's fish & chips that was supposed to open in Ballentine? Did it ever happen or did it come and go....

Apparently it shared the space with this Nathan's and it had 2 reviews that I could find but it apparently came and went (though it was never on my radar)...

^^ that location was a Maggie Mae's at one point...I never made it to Maggie Mae's but did go stop one time when it was Nathan's on my way to a weekend retreat in Isle of Palms about 2 years ago and wasn't very impressed and never made it back (partially because I don't make it down thay way very often)...

Maggie Mae's -- I knew I had done a closing on it, but I could not bring that name to mind to save me!

Found a bird's eye view from bing that I had saved from a few years back and it appears to me as if the space next door was a bank and they had a smaller Pitt Stop that the two were razed at the same time to build what's there now...

This place was a Pitt Stop (with no eating place or anything) but then the space next door came available (I can't remember what was there before) and both this and the lot next door were razed to build this with the Burger King...I remember Burger King having a 2 for 1 deal on Whoppers during their grand opening but felt like it was typically understaffed. Then they moved into a different Pitt Stop at I-26 & US 176 next to the Ballentine DMV and that's when Nathan's came in but now that has folded and it remains to be seen what happens next...
