Here's a little thrift shop in Lexington, not far from Lexington Arms and Mae's. Interestingly, their logo was not a tree. In fact, I'm not sure what that is.

  1. If my memory serves me correctly, their sign did have a tree on it when they first opened. It was a rendering of what I think was supposed to be the tree on the front of the Shel Silverstein book "The Giving Tree" - which I assume is the source of their name. Not sure why they changed it.

  2. The Giving Tree appears to be reopening on Sunset Blvd. just past the Burger King at Sunset Blvd. and Leapheart Road. Saw a new sign that resembles what TahoeChic mentions. The address is 3743 Sunset Blvd. The building used to house Phone Pro Plus of Columbia. For a very, very brief time (a couple of weeks) an auction house operated out of this building.

  3. Actually, I got that wrong. It is the red building next to the old Phone Pro Plus of Columbia.

  4. The Giving Tree opened a thrift store in the former Dressbarn at Dutch Square in the late spring/early summer timeframe of this year but it lasted less than 6 months....
