CMC Construction Services, 500 Huger Street: 31 August 2011 7 comments
Honestly, how could a company offering Moron Control fail to prosper? It's certainly a service that's in constant demand, or if it's not, it should be.
It appears that CMC is a Houston based company which has been in the construction industry for over sixty years, and still has locations in several other states. I don't know why they are leaving South Carolina, but the current economic situation can't be good for construction anywhere.

I'd love to have the signs and take them to the next political meeting. LOL

I went in there one time looking for fencing for an event. It was definitely something they wouldn't have, BUT its a pretty normal occurrence for me to need to be creative in meeting my last minute needs, and when I can look at what my options are within an inventory, I can usually come up with a good idea. Well, they point blank told me they couldn't help me, and this was after ignoring me for 10 minutes (I am guessing I don't look like a "construction" guy). Anyways, I finally got a guy to show me around the warehouse to see what they might have but at that point I had decided I wouldn't be giving them any money anyways.
It reminded me of a time I needed a nut for a car project; a simple nut that needed the right threading and was small enough to make it into a tight spot. I went to Hiller Hardware and asked a guy where the nuts were. Rather than answering my question he asked me what it was for- I told him it was for a car project, and left it at that. He told me "we dont sell car parts!" and argued with me. I eventually left empty handed and went to Lowes and found a nut to fit my needs.
Sometimes no customer service is best.
