Taco Bell, 515 West Main Street (Lexington): 4 April 2011 (moved) 10 comments
As mentioned in the comments on the Lexington Blockbuster this adjacent old-school Taco Bell moved to a new store a couple of years ago. Personally I like these Southwestern style locations more than the "modern" style they have adopted recently. Several in Columbia have been repurposed recently (though the one on Knox Abbott is still vacant), but this one looks as though it may be too far gone for that.

Kc, I'm not 100% sure, but it's on my 'short list' of properties to watch due to the signage indicating the property has sold...
I've thought of this as a potential Nick's Gyros and Subs spot...

I didn't see another way to reach you, so I figured I would comment here. Dianne's on Devine is closed as of today. This is a very sad day since they have been on the cutting edge of fine dining in Columbia since 1995. Just wanted to give you a heads up as no one knew until today.

I heard that Dianne's was going to close but I didn't know when. I'm sorry to hear that they are gone. It definitely wasn't a place you would go as a norm but, for special occasions, it was a wonderful place to eat. They always had awesome food and the ambiance was wonderful. I have eaten at several other 'fine dining' restaurants that cost a lot more and the food was not nearly as good.

Andrew, you know good and well it can't be a Nick's unless there was a murder there!

Almost forgot -- Lexington Arms has a Huge for sale sign out but it is still open and has good crowds from time to time. However if you go inside it is a time warp to 1979 they have not changed anything literally since then. Still a decent place to eat.

Signage announcing Cookout hiring has been installed here which tells me that (most likely) Cookout in Lexington will be operational by year's end...and right around that time is when I expect the former Shoney's at Bush River & Arrowood to be razed in favor of the 5th Cookout in the Columbia MSA...

I don't know if you noticed this when you took these pics, but there is signage indicating this property has sold
