Pelican's SnoBalls, 2845 North Main Street: 2021 no comments
To follow up on the Pelican SnoBalls post from 11 February: That store apparently started here, and moved up the street a few years later.
This Free Times article says it opened on 23 June of 2017, and looking at StreetView, it appears it probably moved after the 2021 snow cone season.
Here is the LoopNet information for the building.
Pelican's SnoBalls, 2404 Main Street: 17 January 2025 3 comments
I like snowcones, but not enough to pay ice cream prices for them, so I have never sampled one of the several local Pelican's locations. Technically this store has been closed since the season ended, but the fact that it would not re-open was announced on 17 January. No specific reason was given in that story or this one, but I presume the volume was just not there.
I believe this is the second Main Street location for the franchaise with the former one being further down towards Eau Claire.
The chain maintains a number of other locations in the Midlands, so when things warm back up, you will be able to get your fix.

Pelican's Snoballs, 4510 Augusta Road: Spring 2021 (Moved) no comments
Pelican's was the follow-on in this building to a number of operations, including San Jose and Tomlinson's Used Furniture. They opened here in in 2016, but have now moved downtown to 442 Meeting Street.
In the meantime, this building seems to have been split into two units, with the righthand side now occupied by a financial services company.

Pelican's SnoBalls, 1900 Rosewood Drive: Fall 2016 (moved) 8 comments
Speaking of Pelican's (as we just were), I noticed that the Rosewood location is gone.
This was the follow-on operation in this building to Charlie's Barber Shop.
I'm not totally clear on what is going on. The real estate sign says that they have moved to 1912 Rosewood, which, as far as I can tell, is a vacant lot.
