Family Outreach Word & Worship Center, 631 Sparkleberry Lane: 2014 3 comments
Commenter James reports this Sparkleberry Lane church closing and notes that you don't often see such. That's fairly true, I think, but if you add in relocations, it's not *that* uncommon. Think, for instance, this. Anyway, this is a fairly large property, which the real estate sign indicates is now under contract. I wonder if we're looking at a new church tenant, or a bunch of new houses?

Seacost Church's Columbia location will be relocating into this building from 1955 Legrand Road and it appears as if Christmas Eve will be their first date to worship here.
This is a church with 11 locations statewide with a 12th in the Asheville area. Another locatin is their Irmo location which meets in the former Riverland Hills Baptist Church at 500 St. Andrews Road.

There is a church on Broad River, I believe just past 26 right as you hit Irmo, that's closed and for sale. Big church, too. Wasn't a year ago that three different churches played musical church and that one (can't think of the name to save my life) landed there. It didn't look like a church that would go belly under anytime soon, but all of a sudden there was a for sale sign up. Wonder what the back story is with that one. I drive by a few times a month and they had nice, big, printed signs up regularly that announced that month's "theme," if you will. Then, like I said, out of nowhere, closed.
