Tandy Leather, 823 State Street: January 2023 5 comments
At one time Tandy Leather was under the same coporate umbrella as the now defunct Radio Shack, but that's all water under the bridge now. Apparently the current regime dates from 1999, and I don't see any news about them being in trouble, but nonetheless this store has closed, and apparently the next nearest is 100 miles away.

I'm not sure if it's this spot, or the one next to it, but there was a video store here awhile back. Pretty sure it was the last time (winter 2002 or 2003) that I rented a VHS tape. As I recall, it was "Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers" a classic slasher flick.

There used to be one in the strip mall located at Decker and the Trenholm road extension back in the 1980s.

Waaaay back in the early '70s Tandy Leather had a store on N. Main St. near Eau Claire High School. The place smelled wonderful if you are into leather working.

@Andy the video store was on the other side of the shopping center, close to The Kingsman.
