Here are some pictures of the old location of Chickadee's Diner, 7949
Broad River Rd in Irmo (Bi-Lo Shopping Center). I'm not sure when they
closed but they moved to the location that corresponds to the closings
entry for BJ's Cafe at 1729 Marshall St.
You can see the setting up for the Marshall Street location here at the Sunset Grill & Pizza closing. Since I took those shots, Chickadees has opened for business there.

Went to Marshall Street location 01/03/18 to use my last SweetDeals certificate (expiring that day) and found them "closed for remodeling". Let's see if they ever come back. Went to this location once (with another SweetDeals) and thought the shrimp 'n grits was very good; wife not impressed by anything on the menu.

We ate there once, for breakfast. The food was decent enough. The main drawbacks to the restaurant were the location (it wasn't really near anything, so if you were going there you had to make a special trip) and the size of the place ( it was tiny) I think they tried to create this sort of mildly outlaw atmosphere (with the concealed weapons being allowed and the prominent Bikers Welcome advertising) which didn't bother me, but I could see it turning off some people, especially with younger kids. The owner also wasn't shy about talking trash to people who left bad reviews on Yelp, Trip Advisor, etc. To his credit he was often gracious to those who left good reviews and people who left bad reviews but weren't nasty about it.
Somehow it doesn't surprise me that this video exists (that's the owner eating on the right)
