Like the Burger King at North Main & Sunset, this Two Notch Road King (next to the Post Office) is remodeling, and is closed while that takes place.

The influx of new burger chains to Columbia seems to have sparked a good deal of revamping at McDonald's and Burger King.

  1. I noticed recently that the 2902 Two Notch Road Brandi, Inc. BK is closed for remodeling and I've been lead to believe that BK corporate is engaging in a restaurant remodel akin to what the golden arches are doing

  2. Judging from Ted's reopening pics, it appears that this is the second Columbia area Brandi, Inc. BK to feature the Coco-Cola Freestyle (120 beverage options)

  3. As a tea-drinker, they annoy me. They create a choke point in getting ice, and I always feel like somebody else's drink choice is going to drip into my cup while I'm getting ice.

  4. Some restaurants I've been to that have the Freestyle machine will also have a little tub of ice with a scoop for those who prefer tea.

I like the Freestyle machines (Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero is terrific) but get annoyed by (a) people who have never seen one before and can't figure it out, and (b) people (kids, especially) who cram their drink cups too close to the nozzle and potentially get backwash on the nozzle. I have serious OCD and don't like that a bit....s

  5. This is not related to this Burger King location. I'm trying to find out if anybody remembers the Burger King that was in Columbiana Centre mall? It has been a long while ago. I wanna say it was in the mall about the same time that the Taco bell was there. I'm not sure though. Taco Bell was where the Cajun Cafe place is now. And Burger King was where Subway is at now. I remember a burger place being there. I'm pretty sure it was a burger king. If anyone else knows and could post a reply here to let me know that would be great. Thanks.

  6. Chuck, I recall hearing about the Burger King at Columbiana Centre Mall (but never ate there) and can confirm that Burger King's old space is now occupied by Subway (I even wrote to Columbiana's Management about it and they confirmed that Columbiana Centere had a BK that is now occupied by Subway)

  7. Thanks Andrew. I appreciate it. I was just curious. I had thought it was there. I went to it when i was much younger a few times. I just wasn't sure what the name of it was. Yeah. The Subway is alright. But that mall is lacking with Taco bell and BK leaving. Because Subway is average. But the only other good place to eat in there now is Chick-fil-a.

  8. There was a BK in Columbia Mall too, at the entrance corridor that led to Annabelle's. Not sure when it closed.

  9. Thanks Ted. I never get over to Columbia mall very often. I wouldn't know when or how long Bk was there.

  10. Today, I came across signage indicating that Burger King will be returning to Columbiana Centre soon. The spot they're taking over was a seen on TV store and also had a hat store at one point.

  11. @ Andrew, it sounds like they are moving back to where they were originally in the mall back in the 1990s.

  12. @Tom, it's my understanding that Subway took over their old spot and BK will be next door to that

  14. Well, I can't guarantee there weren't two folks doing that, but yeah, that was probably me..

  15. @Homer, the closed BK I think you are referencing is at 378 & I-26, not 20...though I wasn't surprised to see it close.

  16. Oops, my bad!! It was I-26!!

Since Brandi seems to be remodeling just about all of his BK's where is one on the NW side of town that is still open. I've got a bunch of coupons burning a hole in my pocket...haha!!'
