AAA Car Care Center, 130 Forum Drive Suite 13: 23 September 2011 2 comments
This AAA Car Care Center was at the Village At Sandhill on the Bi-Lo side of the stores. I notice that they say they are moving to 4526 Forest Drive, but I think it would be more accurate to say "consolidating", since as far as I know, this place was open along with Forest Drive, until Forest Drive burned down so the end result when Forest Drive re-opens will still be one location where there were originally two. (The sign from the daytime set of pix is more clear).

I hate to say it, but most 'chain' auto repair service dealerships don't do you any favors. A couple of folks on the Forest Drive post indicated that they tried to talk them into hundreds of dollars worth of unnecessary repairs...

This place will not be missed by me. One of my cars' battery died at the bank across from it, so, being a member, I walked over and asked if I could get a boost. They gave me a whole rigamarole about having to call one of the trucks because they didn't have a booster in the SERVICE CENTER, and I'd have to wait I-don't-remember-how-long yaddabladdah, so I called my wife who drove over with the one we have at home and did it myself. Uselessness... though I have to admit a couple years before one of the travel agents was quite helpful setting us up with Disney info and such (one of the benefits of having a gig in Orlando at the time).
