AAA Car Care Center, 4526 Forest Drive: 20 December 2010 (open again) 12 comments
Well, thankfully, according to WLTX nobody was injured though $2,000,000 damage was done to the building by the fire which started in an oil heater.
This AAA Car Care Center opened rather recently, being built after a number of pre-existing buildings were taken down in May of 2008.

Interesting as I actually know someone who works at Stanley steamer anyway though the entire buildings carpet was cleaned on the 19th. Kind of useless when you think of it now.

Please do not even bother taking your vehicle to this particular AAA. They told me I needed a new engine, and would be better off just getting a new car! I picked up my car from them and took it to someone else. They fixed it. I just needed a new oil pump, not an engine!

I went by earlier this week and it's appears to be still much like your pics show over a month after the fire...they have a tarp saying they'll be reopening soon but no further details are available to me at the current time..

Yup, the SUV is still there as of Tuesday, at least. I was kind of surprised. Bet there is a dispute between AAA's insurance carrier and the vehicle owner's carrier. Otherwise it would have been picked up by the insurance company and disposed of.

assuming you are talking about the white 4Runner in front of the building, I doubt it's much good anymore...so yeah, let's hope for the sake of the 4Runner's owner that they can iron it out soon...I could not imagine being in the middle of being in limbo with the insurance companies

@Laura, the one on Lake Murray Blvd. is just as bad. I went there twice and both times they tried to convince me to spend hundreds of dollars on car repairs I did not want nor came in for, even after a simple oil change. I have not been back since.
