Burger King, 2216 Bush River Road: late 2012 (temporary) 8 comments
Well, I thought I ought to get these pictures up before they acutally finish the remodeling and have the store open again!
Anyway, this is another Columbia area Burger King being upfitted, and the operation is fairly well along by now. This store is at the the intersection of Bush River Road with I-20, and sits next to Cracker Barrel and not far from Hamrick's. As you can see from the main sign, hiring for the reopening has already commenced.
(Noted by many folks, but I think the initial Hat Tip goes to commenter Homer)

My suspicion is that the Broad River & Columbiana Drive will be done by Memorial Day.
Is it just me or is the Brandi, Inc. BK in Ballentine understaffed??

@Andrew - I went by the Broad River/Columbiana store today and I agree. Looks like they are renovating the convienience store as well as the BK. That is going to take while.
And, yes, I went to the BK in Ballentine a week ago to use up some 2 for 1 coupons and there were two girls manning the entire place. One of them was taken away to fill orders for the fried chicken stand that shares the space with BK (can't think of its name).
They screwed my order up but gave me free upgrades on my sides and apologized for the inconvenience. Hope they don't get in trouble over that!!

Chester's is the fried chicken side business in Ballentine. I have not been in that lcoation in a while, but before the remodel closed the one on Bush River, we got such routinely poor service that we stopped going in spite of it being the closest one to us.

They're remodeling several BK's around town. I saw yesterday the one at Broad River and I-26 (by Jim Hudson Toyota) is undergoing remodel.
