Jewelry Warehouse / Garnet & Black Traditions / Tiger Paw Traditions, 10136 Two Notch Rd #109B: March 2014 13 comments
Jewelry Warehouse has been making a number of changes recently. First they closed their longtime Platt Sprints Road location and moved it to Parkland Plaza, now they are closing the Sparkleberry Square location on Two Notch near Sandhill, and the co-located Garnet & Black Traditions and Tiger Paw memorabilia stores.
I have not seen a firm closing date posted, but I believe that the store is still open for now (25 March 2014), or at least it is still listed on the chain web page.

They also moved there Lexington location to a brand new building right next door to their old location across from Target on 378. Coldwell Banker moved into JW's old location and the old Coldwell Banker location (closer to Wal-mart on 378) is currently being remodeled for a new tenant.

What James mentioned about the move of their Lexington location (as well as the recent relocation to Parkland Plaza in Cayce and the September 2010 move from 817 St. Andrews Road to Bower Parkway) make me wonder if they have something in the works that we don't know about just yet...

My Wife and I have never been all that interested in jewelry. I/we feel it is only good as an investment or to try and impress upon others that one has money. Of course on a special night out it makes the wearer look attractive. Or it makes one feel good, but so does a energy drink. I ask anyone to tell me, other than that, what does expensive jewelry accomplish? Maybe I'm just stupid.

Maybe I'm stupid too, Rick. I agree with you 100%. What little bit of gold jewelry I have has been sitting in a box since the 80's. I haven't worn a watch since I got my first cell phone.

I have a lot of accessory type jewelry, but I've never been one for expensive jewelry. If I'm buying earrings or something, I always choose silver over white gold. I'd prefer to spend money on my truck or my house - things that'll make me happier in the long run.

@TahoeChic- I agree with the accessory type jewelry, and putting money into your truck and house, sounds like my kind of woman.

This place is now officially closed despite the fact that the signage has yet to be removed...making this and the former Hibbett Sports (which closed about 2/3 years ago but hasn't featured here yet) two major vacancies for Sparkelberry Square...

It appears to me as if Palmetto Traditions is taking over the portion that once housed Jewelry Warehouse while the Garnet & Black/Tiger Paw Traditions keep operating in the same space they were all along...

@ted - I was wondering what was up with the Jimmy Johns pics that were up for a few minutes. Made me want one of their Italian subs. Thanks, Ted....haha
