I remember hearing something that woke me to a semi conscious state. I thought for just a moment, Why is my be shaking? And must have gone right back to sleep. Didn't even remember it until I read the newspaper this morning and it all slowly started coming back to me. I must have been hard asleep.

It only lasted about 5 seconds in Irmo. It was like one rumble passed and that was it. Living next to the railroad tracks have numbed me to any minor shaking but I knew what this was right off the bat.
I was in the Blue Cross tower on Alpine when the 2011 quake hit around DC and you could feel the whole building sway. That one lasted about 15 seconds. Now that was an eerie feeling!!!
