Mattress Source, 107 Harbison Boulevard: 11 December 2012 (buyout) 12 comments
As detailed here, on 11 December 2012, Mattress Firm bought out Mattress Source and all the Mattress Source stores were closed temporarily for re-branding.
I missed the buyout news, not being in the mattress market currently, but noticed the new banner over the old marquee when I was driving down Harbison recently. Since I don't have a dog in the fight, I'll say that I like the name Mattress Firm better than Mattress Source as it works (presumably intentionally) as a play on words.
I'll also say that while I have no opinion yea or nay on their mattresses, I continue to admire the Tempurpedic logo.
You wouldn't think that you could get away with plastering a shapely undraped female derriere all over your marquee and front yard, but they do. Granted they have toned down the, um, cleavage from a few years ago:
UPDATE 19 September 2022 -- As mentioned in the comments, the building has come down. Also there seems to be a lot of land clearing behind the old site as well:
Also updating tags and adding map icon.
UPDATE 7 October 2022 -- Here are a few shots from the start of the teardown:

This is the same company that just remodeled the location on Forest Drive across from Zesto's. I go by there twice a day and one day there was a "Mattress Firm" banner up and the next day all the mattresses were being switched out in the store.

This is one of three Harbison Blvd. locations and I wonder about the saying power of all 3...

This used to be a jewelry store, but I can not seem to remember the name! When I was young, my mom would get all the charms for my charm bracelet here. They had cases and cases of charms, but I guess no one really has charm bracelets any more! (Maybe Pandora beads are the new charm bracelets?)

I remember the liquidation of the jewelry store Mary Douglass mentions but can't seem to recall it, either..

So it appears to me as if the MattressFirm that was here is now closed up shop...Harbison had 4 MattressFirm locations but it's now down to 3 (wondering how long they can sustain themselves)...

This is the former MattressFirm location that I noted yesterday afternoon is having a date with the excavator (as Gypsie indicated in Have Your Say). To my knowledge, this entry is the only time it featured here and as I noted above I do remember it being a jewelry store at one point as well...

Folks it appears to me as if ModWash is moving into this spot...behind that it appears to me as if something else is under construction but the details are a little unclear to me as to what it'll be...

@Andrew - that is correct. It was announced back in early March that ModWash was being built on the site.
Have we figured out yet WHY there's such an onslaught of new car washes being built everywhere????

The store on 2Notch did the same... it now has "we're open" signs posted.
