Sunrise Florida chain Pet Supermarket opened in the old Eckerd's / Rite Aid on Harden Street in the fall of 2017, and The State had the story here.

Now, three years later, the place is having a liquidation sale prior to shutting down.

Interestingly, The State story mentions that the building was subdivided with about 25% left for another business to occupy, something, which as far as I know, never happened.

  1. I do not know what their target audience was, but they seemed to be more expensive than the Pet Supply in the Food Lion shopping center.

  2. Up here in Willoughby, OH, we had a pet store (for the record, I can NOT remember the name of it; I think it was TNT Pet Store) and it was a FANTASTIC place. It was a little expensive, and that is probably why it closed. Like ¨Dan R¨ said, some pet stores are more pricey than much larger chains, like PETSMART and PET SUPPLIES PLUS. Taking a look at google maps, I was still not able to figure out what the name was.
