H. H. Gregg, 1130 Bower Parkway: May 2017 4 comments
Well, this is Columbia's other H. H. Gregg, closing as part of the same liquidation as the Sandhill store. Goody's is the most prominent former holder of this spot -- I'm not sure who could take on this much floor space now.

I have shopped with them in the past over the years. Still got my apex dvd player that I got in 1999 when they first opened as hh Gregg I will certainly miss Gary bender sales tech for it department they had.

I think that hhgregg didn't open until somewhere in the 2004/05 timeframe as they opened around the time Village at Sandhill opened which was in 2005 (both opened around the same time)...

HH Gregg was not in the former Goody's spot. Stein Mart was in the former Goody's building.

Goody's was always where they had been...the thing of it is, when the rest of Columbiana Station with Wild Wing, Plato's Closet, etc. was build they left a gap between there and Goody's. When hhgregg came in, they built in that gap and have been there since...Goody's closed and became the Stein Mart that recently closed (already featured here) and the two create some interesting propositions for something new but obviously the details remain to be seen.
BTW ICYMI: the Sandhill page (linked in the main post) speaks to the bankruptcy of hhgregg further...
