Store, Wilson Boulevard: 1900s 6 comments
Here's another Wilson Boulevard location. I have no real idea what this was, but noticed as I was driving down the street that the old parking lot for *something* is now being used as an impromptu 18-wheeler pull-off.
The shape of the sign seems vaguely familiar, but I can't really come up with anything concrete, and there is currently no street address posted that I could query.

I dropped a pin on my iPhone's map app at this site and revealed an address of 9316 Wilson Blvd (in zip 29203)

I don't think that's it -- that address seems to belong to a "Community Care Home".

OK, this is a long shot, but there might have once been a building there owned by the Baptist Education and Missionary Convention, and the address might have been 9320/9324 Wilson Blvd. No idea on the time frame, though.

The sign looks to me like a marquee for s strip mall with multiple retail stores. Just my to cents based on the interior structure of the sign. Looks like it is dividing the sign for the smaller individual merchant signs.
