Carolina Auto Center, 6414 Two Notch Road: 2009 4 comments
Actually I'm not sure of the closing date of this place -- there are so many used car places up and down Two Notch that I normally don't really pay any attention to them. But all the streamers on the lot are still up, and 2009 has been such an incredibly bad year for car dealers that it seems likely.

Does anyone remember the Carolina skating rink. I believe it was on Jackson Blvd. (coming from Fort Jackson). Probably a couple of miles or so from the fort's gate.

The Carolina Skateing Rink was on Ft. Jackson Blvd in the spot where that Mexican restaraunt (now closed) was. The old man that ran the place closed it down either in 1969 or 1970 I think due to the changing times. I think soon there after it was torn down and the building that stands there now was built.

Given the "cool summer sale" paint, this place probably tanked last summer. There's another used car place back up the road across the street from Food Lion that has the same paint on their wall. I think that place has been closed for at least two "cool summer sale" periods.
