Full Bellies Sports Kitchen, 612 Saint Andrews Road Suite 7: 22 December 2025 7 comments
This Ashland Park storefront has been a number of restaurants over the years, from Low Country Cafe to Steve's. Full Bellies moved in after Steve's closed in April of 2025, and closed just before Christmas of the same year. You can see their farewell message here.
I had to check out the phones. They are in very good shape, but there is no dial-tone. If you look closely, you can see that the nameplate on them is for Blackbeard's Seafood, a place I never heard of and have not featured here.

This building was originally a Yesterday's. I think the owners closed it because it was too hard for them to run two restaurants.

The inside looks ransacked; what the heck happened?!?
The whole timeline was weird. I really liked Steve's. Then this place took over and kept the Steve's name but changed the business model. Then changed their name. Then closed. :/

It was indeed built as a Yesterday's circa 1985. I got my first summer job there bussing tables in June 0f 1986, and worked there a little over four years. Part of the reason I believe Yesterday's did not last was the same thing that killed the Bush River Road corridor and Dutch Square: Harbison. Once Columbiana Centre opened and Harbison became the Next Big Thing, its proximity to Saint Andrews started siphoning business away. Columbia is so fickle that once a new entertainment district opens up any entertainment districts nearby start losing patrons, and few seem to recover once the bleeding starts.

There was also, briefly, a Yesterday's on Two Notch.

Blackbeard's Chinese Seafood Buffet was open in late 1998 thru 1999. In 2000 this location became the Thai Lotus.
