Zoe's Kitchen, 4855 Forest Drive: August 2022 4 comments
Zoe's Kitchen (more properly spelled with double dots over the 'e') was the follow-on in this creekside lot to Frans in 2008.
Being that it was creekside, they took a big hit in the Great Flood of 2015 and were closed for a while regrouping after that. In fact, I thought they were never quite as good after the flood as before, and whereas I had eaten on the patio fairly often in good weather previously, I more or less gave that up.
Recently the entire chain was bought out by Cava which appears to have the exact same concept as Kairos, and this location is currently closed for the conversion.

This Zoe's never was the same after the floods and also fell off even more during the pandemic. I went by once last year to try to make a drive through order and the server at the window told me I needed to make a reservation or an appointment to order through drive-through. Yeah right. I drove away and never went back. Wasn't worth the hassle.

I LOVED Zoe's and went to this location frequently, usually just to run in and grab tubs of hummus, chick salad, pim cheese, and greek slaw, though sometimes I actually ate there. The Cava menu does not impress me at all.

Zoe's definitely wasn't as tasty after they moved from franchisee to corporate-owned.
