Commenter Jason reports this Beef 'O' Brady's location on Hard Scrabble has been closed since January.

I believe the only BOB I have ever been in was the Pawleys Island location (which is now DeRoma's pizza), and I thought it wasn't bad. It did strike me as somewhat like the lamented Bennigan's chain though, in that it was hard to see anything you could really characterize as "Irish".

(Hat tip to commmenter Jason)

UPDATE 11 January 2016 -- As mentioned in the comments, this place is open again:

Comment: I ait a couple of times at that one when I worked in the area and was also going to the N.Y Butcher shop in the same strip.

It was pub-grub. Nothing really outstanding there.

Comment: The whole theme started out as Generic Irish Pub, (or, rather, Generic Irish Family-Friendly Sports Bar) but over time it sort of morphed into Generic American Winghouse.

From what I understand, the owners of this location had moved up here from Tampa, where these were really common ten-ish years ago, and missed it enough that they started their own franchise. 11 years isn't a bad run, whatever the reason it ended.

Comment: I did get something to go at this location back in late 2005 which went well and I liked it.

My mom is a former colleague of the owner of the Murray Landing Beef O Brady's and likes it but I've only been once and I liked it but haven't made it back (though I'd be happy to return given the opportunity)...not sure if they were involved in this one as well or not.

Comment: This was a brief closing. There's signage up advertising hiring for a new restaurant in this space: another Beef O'Brady's.

That's a pretty neat story, sounds like there's a chance this will be a decent place to grab dinner again. I'll definitely check it out when it reopens.
