Noticed this defunct, rocket logo themed, title loan operation on Broad River Road the other week. I can't find out anything about it in my recent phonebooks, but google suggests it was Quick Cash. Before that it was apparently two different thrift stores, Treasures and a His House location.

I remember it being a Record Shop and Catherine's Stout Shop back in the late '80's and early 90's.

The record store Patricia Lewis remembers was M&M Videos. They carried a wide selection of movies you would not find at Phar Mor, Blockbuster, etc. They also carried vinyl. I tried to work there, but they only hired family. At least that is what they told me, but it seemed true

It's the Levi's place also had a store near Richland Mall on Beltline Bouldvard.
Boulevard, what a funny word. I just enjoy saying it, boulevard, boulevard.
Why are the names of streets different?
We have Boulevard, street, road, lane, court, circle and others I'm sure.This little shopping center was also home to Dixie Hi-Fi back in the early 80's before they became Circuit City. I bought a home cassette player/recorder from them. DAMN, electronics were expensive back then. Had to take out a loan to buy it $400.00 plus, shit that was a lot of money to spend then, unless one was buying a cassette deck.
In 1983 when I worked in 5-points, there was a record shop next to my business called X-Records. If only a place like that were around now. The closest thing we have now is Papa Jazz. But don't let that make you think of how X-Records was, X-Records was PAPA Jazz on steroids.

When it opened in the the 1970's it was "It's- The Levi Place." Back when Levi's were the jeans to have, it and Moe Levy's downtown slugged it out for the Levis crowd.
