After Trevin mentioned that this place was closing, I drove over and got some pictures while it was still open.. and of course now can't find them: The first picture above is actually from the Lane Bryant closing.

At any rate, I used to eat here about once a week while I worked off of Bluff Road. I didn't eat the pizza because pizza for lunch tends to shut down my brain for the rest of the day, but I would get the salad bar and some garlic bread. Shoney's probably had a better salad bar, but given my very limited time for lunch, I couldn't deal with possible delays in getting the ticket, and Cici's was self-serve and perfectly adequate. I also liked the fact that they always had a survey on the the ticket for $2.00 off next time if you filled it out. That covered the drink.

Not sure what the closing circumstances were. As far as I could tell, the place did a pretty good business, and in fact while I was taking these pictures, two different cars drove by, clearly looking to eat.

  1. This isn't our side of town but sorry to see this location go, we enjoyed eating there with friends. It was certainly a better "dining experience" than the CiCi's on St. Andrews.

I have no way of knowing if this is accurate but the second/third hand info I heard was that CiCi's didn't have their lease renewed and a "Hickory Tavern" will be going in at this location.

  2. There is definitely some construction happening next door..

  3. I checked the Edens site plan and saw that The Hickory Tavern is indeed going in...next door I saw plans for a MOD pizza...

I enjoyed this Cici's on several occasions and the last time I had lunch with my grandmother was here. I enjoyed it on several occasions and like ED, I hated to see it go.

I can only hope that perhaps another one will open up closer to the Rosewood Crossing area or Forest Acres but only time will tell how that pans out...

  4. Man I ate here going back to when it was in the old Woodhill Mall, I can't believe this place closed. The only thing I can imagine is the rent was too high. It used to be a real steal, but seems like the price has gone up, and the quality gone down over the past few years.

  5. We ate at both the old CiCi's like Mr. Bill when it was next to Target at the old Woodhill Mall.

Went to a couple of birthday parties with our daughter that parents had for their child/children.

Food was very good and a speciality item could be requested!

Never tried the Wings but enjoyed the soup in the winter when it was cooooooooold outside!

Hate to see it closed as we don't like Pizza Hut! And the variety of pizza's at CiCi's was always good where as at Little Cesar's and Dominio's yoiu are limited to what kind of pizzas
    available!

  6. I agree with Patricia about Pizza Hut. The last time I picked up a pizza from the Hut the cooking oil soaked through the box and made a mess of the passenger seat in the car. DISGUSTING.

  7. This will become a Mod Pizza. There will be another in the new Fresh Market complex being built in NE Cola along with another Zoe's, also.

  8. I am very disappointed that Cici's Pizza has left this area. My children loved this place. I hope they are planning to have another one in this area soon.
