Driving down Saint Andrews Road the other day, I noticed that the NAPA parts store formerly across from Seven Oaks Shopping Center has now actually crossed the street and is in Seven Oaks next to Big Lots.

I'm not sure, but the new sign suggests that the machine shop did not make the transition.

UPDATE 23 March 2018 -- This building is now Palmetto Thrift:

  1. Ok here's what happened here:

When Big Lots #5123 took over where Food Lion originally was, they took over all but 13,198 square feet of space (Big Lots opened in October 2010)

Then late last year, NAPA moved into the remaining portion...

Here's the kicker: I remember in the 90s when I was in Elementary School Food Lion & Eckerd were next door to each other. Finally after Eckered moved out (ca. 1998) Food Lion expanded into the space that Eckerd vacated. Then Food Lion closed in 2010 and along comes Big Lots but the space they took over left a vacant space on a comparable size but on the opposite end of the space vs. when Eckerd was there...

  3. It appears to me as if Palmetto Thrift Store has set up shop here but the signage is difficult to see from the street...

  4. I swear up and down when I lived there in the early 80's, a Pet Store and an Ice Cream Parlor occupied this spot. Back when Big Star was the grocery store here. I remember buying a hamster at the pet store there in 1980. And I've been trying to remember the name of the Ice Cream place, but just keep drawing a blank.
