S & S Art Supply, 1633 Main Street: December 2013   4 comments

S & S moved from Rosewood to Main a few years ago, and set up shop in the Mast block. Unfortunately, if I recall a couple of articles about the place correctly, the volume of people willing to come to Main Street to purchase art supplies just wasn't there, and they closed the shop with the year.

  1. These old storefronts bring back so many memories of the glory days of Main St. The recessed door and display windows were so standard for a lot of the businesses. I can picture the mannequins in the windows touting what the stores had to offer. And the tile work in the entryway is just icing on the cake!!

  3. That type of storefront has always reminded me of the old Paperback Exchange at 1234 Assembly, where I spent many hours..

  4. I believe the owner of S&S also owns the cigar shop that is a few windows down from the art supply store.
