Cartridge World, 4711 Forest Drive Suite 14: 2013 (moved) 4 comments
I used this location of Cartridge World a few years ago to refill the toner in my HP Laserjet, and that refurbished cartridge is still going strong. Sometime this year, this branch moved out of the Forest Park plaza next to Cardninal Newman, west down Forest Drive past beltline to a new location more or less across from The Pizza Joint and next to Lizard's Thicked.
It looks like the Forest Park storefront is currently being used for overflow storage.

Why can we buy a printer cheaper than the color and black cartriges cost to refill it? Of course I know the answer and do not use cheap printers, but there must be a lot of people that buy the cheap printers and have not figured it out yet, or the manufactures would not keep selling cheap printers.
All I can say is Duh!Land of the free, home of the..... Someone finish it for me.

That's why I gave up on ink-jet printers after my 7th one. They don't seem to last much past the second set of cartridges. (I tend not to not print very much so they dry out.)
I also figured I didn't need color so I went and got a laser printer. This one was rated very good in several PC rags including CNET.

Sure, the toner can cost a bit more, but each one can last 1000-2000 sheets. Plus it does scanning, copying and faxing and its pretty fast.

I got a color laserjet when I graduated from USC in August 2012 and have enjoyed working with it since...I worked with a couple of others in college and came to like them then and I am now thankful to have my very own...I know there are plenty of people that can get by fine on a monochrome and I say more power to them but a color document on a monochrome laser doesn't look right to me for some reason.
I still have my inkjet and use it to print pics occasionally and thankfully I haven't had any cartridge issues even though it can get to be few and far between with regard to printing pics.
My dad has a monochrome laser like you MrBO and he has told me that he doesn't see himself reverting back to inkjet.
I have never used the services of a cartridge refill place so I don't know how they are vs. the new thing and have wondered...

The Cartridge World on Sunset Blvd in Lexington closed in June. I think I posted a comment in Have Your Say in September about it when I noticed. it.
