ted - what is the address of this place? I got in a good old fashioned barroom brawl in a Myrtle Beach Pizza Hut. Looong ago.

@Dennis,
530 Church Street in Georgetown. That's on US-17 as you come out of downtown heading north towards the bridges.
Here's a local news story about the fire -- I've eaten there more than a time or two, though not in the last 20 years or so.

Couple of things. Could you add "Georgetown" as a tag for this? Also, when it first burned down around Christmas, there was no certainty that it would reopen. But they have decided to go ahead and do it in the same location. http://www.gtowntimes.com/search/Pizza-Hut-to-return2013-05-22T06-16-45
The old one was a Georgetown landmark, especially for the town's african american community. I ate there numerous times as a kid, but kinda stopped going there as a teen, a non-chain pizza & sub place moved into my side of town and was much better than Pizza Hut's and Domino's fare.

Well, I'm glad it will be back. I don't have a "Georgetown" category, but if you look at the bottom of all posts, there are tags for various keywords.

Ted,
Just wanted to give an update, I don't have pics but the pizza hut opened back in either in late jan 2014 or early feb 2014 at the same location. They built another structure in the same exact spot and business (from what I hear from my Gtown friends) has been busy.

Yes, I saw the new building in early Jan, though I'm not sure if it were open yet then or not. Thanks for reminding me to put up a picture.

Sooner or later, this building will have a date with an excavator...
