Mezza Lebanese Bistro & Hookah Lounge, 110 Gervais Street: 24 December 2012 5 comments
I like some Lebanese food quite well, but I never got around to trying Mezza perhaps partly because of the location and partly because of the Hookah Lounge aspect, which I was afraid might put me in a smoking section, something I have less and less tolerance for as the years go on.
At any rate, that's not an option anymore as they closed up shop on Christmas Eve and the place's site proclaims that the space has already been sold.

Maybe if they laid off the bong hits they could spell better.

Not surprised. Nice space inside, but the food quality was very poor.

Tried it once and was not impressed. Elie's is much better and the new Ariana's near the botanical gardens entrance as well.

Becky, I am glad to see a member of the opposite sex leave comments on one of my favorite sites. Your comments can add a different perspective to the thoughts of a predominantly male viewpoint. I hope you will continue to visit this site and "Tell us what you think". If you would tell your friends about Columbiaclosings.com, we could really get a different insight.

I never got to try this place either. A friend of mine went there with some friend for her b-day and said that the food amd the atmosphere of the place was great. As far as what she said about the hookah's - it sounds to me like they were "e-hookah's" sorta like "e-cigs". She said they had all kinds of fruit or 'adult beverage' flavored things they would load in there to be 'smoked'.
