Disorderly Conduct, 617 Harden Street: late December 2011   10 comments

I'm not sure what Disorderly Conduct was. Google seems to think it was either a gift shop or a hookah lounge (or the arrest of a USC football player). I suppose if you combine those you would get something like a head shop (any mention of "hemp" always points in that direction as well..). At any rate, it was entirely off my radar though I must have seen it numerous times.

I hope the neon peace sign finds a good home, that looks as though it would be nice.

  1. There was a sign up at one point because the owner's had requested a liquor license in order to open up a liquor store. It was granted, so I assume that's why it closed.

  2. Well, when I was taking these pix, the owner of the shop to the right came out and asked if I were leasing the place, so if it's to be a liquor store, the word hasn't gotten around..

  5. The Waffle House is going on the vacant lot next to Salty's, across the street from the Food Lion shopping center on Harden.

  9. You would be correct in your guess that this was, essentially, a head shop.

  10. Yep... This was a Head Shop that I think opened in 2007. Before that it was a briefly a store that sold high end pet treats and accoutrements. I remember getting dog treats here in 2006.
