Rite Aid, 2324 Sunset Boulevard: 23 May 2009 8 comments
I find this Rite Aid closing interesting because it happened so soon after the conversion from Eckerd's, so in 2007, they paid a lot of money to redo all the signage and branding, interior and exterior, and then in 2009, closed the store.
I think it was a classy touch to transfer the store's perscriptions across the street to their competitors at CVS rather than sending customers to a Rite Aid further away. I hope the building can be re-used, it's still fairly new and appears quite nice.
UPDATE 10 September 2011 -- Looks like it's to be Capital Tile:
UPDATE 2 June 2012 -- I don't know what happened to Capital Tile, which never opened as far as I know, but the place is now a fertility clinic:

folks, I noticed a building permit in the window for interior demolition at this site. The windows on each side appear boarded up (at least for the time being). No further details are known to me at the present time.

As it happened, I was eating supper at Grecian Gardens tonight, so I stopped to check it out. It appears this will be a Capital Tile.

If it is to become Capital Tile as Ted implies it will be, this means that Capital Tile will reloate from their current location at the intersection of US 378 and Lott Court at 3618 Sunset Blvd...stay tuned in the weeks coming as this progresses...

Andrew, the fertility clinic is the building kinda behind the Rite-Aid.

the building behind the fmr. Rite Aid is actually Rush's Corporate offices I believe...
I checked, and it appears that the Advanced Fertility & Reproductive Endocrinology Institute, LLC will be relocating from somewhere within walking distance of the main campus of Lexington Medical Center

Advanced Fertility is no longer. It appears they may have been bought out. The new clinic in this location is Piedmont Reproduction and Endocrinology Group (PREG).

They sell the prescription list for good money. There is nothing altruistic about it.
