I have only been in a Freddy's once, at the Sunset location and I got a milkshake which I thought was pretty good.

The State reported the opening of this location in 2018, with the chain representing that

The surrounding residential neighborhoods around Lake Murray make the location a great fit for Freddy’s.

I guess in the event eight years later perhaps not so much.

Here is The State story on the closing.

  1. I like the frozen custard. The French fries taste good, although I don't prefer the short, thin shapes.

  2. I went there once and the kitchen area looked like a mess with the ice cream constantly running onto the floor. I never went back there.

  3. I never visited this particular location, but I like Freddy's in general. Their cheese curds are amazing! Much better than their fries.

  4. This location is so not fun to get out of. You always have traffic from the left because of how the light works by CFA Ballentine. Maybe by the 6th time this location appears in closings, Richland County will have finally widened Broad River Rd with the penny tax that was supposed to widen Broad River Rd.
