212 Motors was never really on my radar, but looking the pictures in their Google right-sidebar information they used to be a regular used car lot.

Now they seem to be moving to a fleet operation with loads of generic white pickup trucks, and no "regular" cars. I can't see any information about the change online, but something is definitely going on.

  1. Call me a cynic, but I look at "new" used car dealerships a bit suspiciously.

212 Motors landed at the old Love Mitsubishi with a bit of a flashy radio ad campaign. They positioned themselves as "different" and appealing to higher-end buyers. They had Porsches, BMWs, and I believe even a Lambo or two, along with the perfunctory hopped up Jeeps & pickups that seem popular.

212 also had a location in Florence that has apparently already closed its doors.

  2. Not sorry to see this. I stopped by a while back when looking to buy a used car for my daughter. I walked around, stood around looking at different models for close to an hour and not one sales rep said as much as Hello to me. Left & bought elsewhere.

  3. You can have any color you like now, as long as it's white. :-)

  4. This building reminds me of an old Park N Shop store.

  5. Considering that the other Love entities (namely, their parts and in-house financing arm) still have signs up and every vehicle on the lot is a new Chevrolet, I suspect the Love organization is reclaiming the lot to help with their fleet sales so their main location can focus on retail.
