Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, 1717 Gervais Street: 2012 4 comments
I'm not sure whether this was a move or a closing as the company is certainly still around, but Kaplan Test Prep And Admissions is no longer in this little building on the north side of Gervais. The rest is left as an exercise for the reader. Please use a #2 pencil only.

Well, the yellow banner sign implies that the WOIC studio is there. I guess another station could have had it before that.

Yes WNOK and WOIC studio were there before moving.

WNOK AM/FM moved there from Main Street. And then from Gervais to the infamous low-rent "Pickens Palace" next to WACH and finally after consolidation with the Benchmark Communications stations (WVOC/96.7/WCOS) to Greystone Boulevard in the old NCR offices.

Am I mistaken or wasn't this once the home of WNOK-FM radio? I remember seeing a neon sign for the station through a window in a building similar to this one back in the day.
