A-1 Auto Sales, 800 Sunset Boulevard: 2012 6 comments
If this auto lot, just south of the New Brookland Baptist Church, had an office, it must have been in a trailer.
Seems like it would be a good place to sell Christmas trees, but it's too late for this year, I guess.

I remember it being Sam Wingard's towing service.

Well, I may be wrong, but I somehow got the impression the building was not associated with this lot.

Sounds like Sam Wingard's is a completely different business that has gone out of business. Material for another post for another day.

You're right, the auto sales office was in an old singlewide adjacent to the Party Town. Next to it was a plywood shed where I assume they prepped the cars for sale.

When I originally commented on this, I assumed the building in your first shot, yellow siding with brick facing, was the office. Perhaps that is a different business that has also gone out of business. If I remember correctly, the writing on the building's window said something like Sam Winegart's Auto Sales.
