Judy's Cafe & Bakery, 5135 Sunset Boulevard Suite A: March 2013 4 comments
Judy's was the follow-on operation to Baker Brothers American Deli in this outparcel building at the Target shopping center in Lexington.
I hadn't really checked the building out since dong the Barker Brothers closing, so I wasn't sure when I took the daylight pictures here whether Judy's was coming in or going out -- there was certainly some sort of activity inside.
Commenter Russ later pointed out that it was in fact a closing, and the later nighttime pictures show the place with real-estate info in the windows.

My family and I went there a few times. The food and service were very good but I had lingering concerns about how long it'd be around. There were only 2-3 other groups there every time we went. Had it been in a better location with more visibility from the road, it probably would have done much better.

This is sad. The food and desserts was quite delicious and fresh, and well-priced. Chef Judy was pleasant and would walk around to talk with patrons. They had opened in September 2012 I believe, and seemed to be getting good business. Wonder what happened.
This will be the second vacancy in that strip of the Target shopping center-- HUEI Salon just moved out of the location next to Judy's and into the Topspin center near Chocolate Monkey.

My sister & brother-in-law spoke well of this place. Then about the time I decided to go; I found it had closed. They later told me the reason for closing was illness.

This closed almost as soon as it opened. I don't think it was in business more than two months. Seemed to take forever when they were opening it. Made me wonder if financing was part of the problem.
Is this any relation to Judy's at the Market?
