I was unaware of this Lexington establishment until commenter James R pointed out that it had closed. It's a ways out on the Western outskirts of Lexington where Pisgah Church Road hits US-1.

The State says they were there for four years, which really is not bad for a non-chain restaurant.

  1. Sad to see this close, but can't say I'm surprised. Last few times I went, there wasn't much of a crowd and that was on a Fri/Sat night. The Shrimp & Grits were yummy!

  2. I live out near this place and didn't realize it existed until recently. This spot has been several restaurants over the last few years. As I've said -- Lexington is a tough market for restaurants. You need to have pretty good food at decent prices to compete with chains. Be cautious raising your prices -- see Gilligan's on North Lake Dr.

  3. I remember there being an Antonia's in this building at one point and having my birthday dinner there one year...
