El Camino Mexican Restaurant, 9221 Two Notch Road Suite 60: 2016 9 comments
El Camino was the follow-on operation to Golden City in the Big Lots plaza on Two Notch.
This one came and went before I even knew it was there, which is a little odd as the name El Camino should have caught my eye as I used to work for a Bay Area company, and El Camino Real is the main drag there.
UPDATE 19 February 2017 -- Oops! As mentioned in the comments, I was wrong about this place. In fact it was setting up to open, and is now open:
UPDATE 6 October 2017 -- Really closed this time:

Recently I have been having to pick up my son from Midlands Tech Airport campus and we have stopped on #1 at the taco truck in front of Zaxby's. Pretty damn good tacos. Yesterday when I went, they filled my tacos up with extra meat. And their red hot sauce is pretty damn hot!
I have grown fond of eating from the taco trucks. The one on Decker Blvd is very good also. I eat from that one once a week. The owner of that truck just had a building built on Percival next to the (closed down and just recently blogged by Ted) business, Ride.

Taco is what I typically get at a Mexican restaurant. This summer with my family I went to one in San Antonio where I got two tacos, one was beef and another was chicken.
I've been to Real Mexico (2421 Bush River Road) several times with some friends from my church and have found 1-2 Beef tacos to be a decent meal the times I've been with them but the parking lot is tricky to navigate.

Never knew this place was there. I'm forever trying to find a different place to eat lunch other than the same old fast food joints over there.

We ate at El Camino earlier today. They screwed up my order, the food was horrible, and I now appear to have food poisoning.
Don't waste your time. Worst Mexican food I've ever had.

@Rick - Rosa is the chick from ZZ Top's Mexican Blackbird.
Mexican Blackbird (Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard)
If you're down in Acuna and you ain't up to being alone
don't spend all your money on just any honey that's grown.
Go find the Mexican blackbird and send all your troubles back home. They all call her her "puta" 'cause no one really knows her name.
She works the cantina, dancin' and a-lovin's her trade.
Her mama was Mez'can and her daddy was the ace of spades.Oh, let's drive that old Chrysler down to Mexico, boy.
Said, keep your hands on the wheel there.
Oh, it sure is fine, ain't it?
Now, ya got it! Hand me another one of them brews from back there.
Oh, this is gonna be so good.Mm, she's hot as a pepper but smooth as a Mexican brew.
So head for the border and put in an order or two.
The wings of the blackbird will spread like an eagle for you.Homer

I did not see this Mexican restaurant come or go. I enjoy Mexican and generally try to eat at all Mexican restaurants around the Midlands at least once. I've been wanting to try the taco truck that is on Percival Rd. Just down from Decker but haven't made it yet. Most recently have been enjoying Taco Time Mexican Restaurant in the Wal Mart shopping center on Garners Ferry Road.
