I believe this Harbison building first featured here as a Toys-R-Us, but now it's another Value City Furniture closing due to the chain's bankruptcy. As of last week, they were down to 50% off.

I don't recommend going anywhere this weekend, but there may be some deals left next week.

  1. I spent the longest 18 months of my life working there when it was a Toys R Us.

  2. Wouldn’t it make sense for Best Buy to
Take over that space since the 26/harbison blvd. highway improvement plans have Best Buy being demolished?

  3. I don't know if most Best Buy locations will move at this point. According to at least one article that I found, they are closing fifteen locations - which isn't many - but they also have plans to make other locations smaller.

  4. *I mean to say any locations, not most.

  5. On paper it makes sense for Best Buy to move into this space (depending on the needs of the property it sits on for the Carolina Crossroads project) but as someone who has kept up with things on this project from the get go on it I understand that they’ve tweaked plans to minimize property impacts so a lot of it depends on the needs of the property itself as well as Best Buy’s corporate health.
