Skyline Club, 100 Lee Street: May 2017 3 comments
As I never was a clubber or dancer, I was just vaguely aware that The Skyline Club existed, and had no real idea of exactly where it was. As it turns out, it's in an interesting little area just across from the airport which also hosts a monument to the Columbia Army Air Base. I wanted to get back there on a sunny day and when I had time to get out and walk around, but so far that has not happened.
As commenter Jimmy reported, very sadly the owner of the Skyline, Janice Gardner passed away this year, and in August there was a celebration of her life.

The Skyline Club reopened in September 2019 https://www.swlexledger.com/single-post/2019/09/05/Area-favorite-Skyline-Club-reopening-after-a-long-hiatus
But then closed again in late 2023 https://www.swlexledger.com/single-post/west-columbia-s-historic-skyline-club-to-be-auctioned-at-the-end-of-the-month
The property was to be auctioned off around the beginning of 2025, but I don't know whether there was a buyer. Lots of photos and a few videos on the auction company's website https://www.amcbid.com/auctions/detail/bw132092

It was supposed to be auctioned off in January 2025, but I don't know whether there was a buyer.
