What I first recall noicing it as, however, was a long run during the 1970s when it was an adult book store, one of several then along Two Notch (two of which, I believe, remain from that era).<\/p>\n<p>The last time I noticed it in operation was as <i>Moonlight Bar &amp; Grill<\/i> as shown in the first set of pictures from 24 January 2012.<\/p>\n<p><b>UPDATE 10 February 2021<\/b> -- It appears that somebody plowed a car into this building recently:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/21\/02\/p1690398.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/21\/02\/p1690398_tn.jpg\" title=\"p1690398_tn.jpg\" alt=\"p1690398_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/21\/02\/p1690399.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/21\/02\/p1690399_tn.jpg\" title=\"p1690399_tn.jpg\" alt=\"p1690399_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/pix\/21\/02\/p1690423.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"..\/pix\/21\/02\/p1690423_tn.jpg\" title=\"p1690423_tn.jpg\" alt=\"p1690423_tn.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also adding map icon and added \"Chateau\" in front of \"Adult Book Store\" in the post title based on the comments.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/5511+Two+Notch+Rd,+Columbia,+SC+29223\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/columbiaclosings.com\/pix\/misc\/world_map_icon.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This little building, the parking area limited and hemmed in by the hill rising to Shakespeare Road behind it, has been many things over the years -- mostly in the Bar \/ Social Club category.
